Our Lineage

Sifu Paul Mason is a 4th Generation Disciple of Grand Master Ip Man. He is a Disciple of his Sifu, Master John Lambert, who is one of the Four Pillar Disciples of Grand Master Benny Meng. Grand Master Meng was a Disciple of Grand Master Moy Yat, who was himself a Disciple of Grand Master Ip Man. The legendary Bruce Lee was a student of Grand Master Ip Man, which in turn- following traditional Wing Chun family association-  makes him a Sibaak (Kung Fu uncle) of Grand Master Benny Meng.

Shaolin Wing Chun Kung Fu System

Shaolin Wing Chun is a complete combat system. It is complete in that it includes Health and Fitness, Internal Qi development as well as external attribute development (such as strength, flexibility, endurance and balance), combat and wisdom for life.

It is designed to engage opponents and counter attacks using the most efficient range for hand-to-hand combat, and self-defense. At its highest level, Shaolin Wing Chun takes the student to the ultimate level of combat efficiency.

The teaching curriculum in Shaolin Wing Chun is complete, covering many diverse topics with the singular focus of helping students to understand the reasons for doing what they do.

In our experience, most organizations only cover the techniques and withhold the flow of information to maintain control of the organization. The World Shaolin Wing Chun Federation is an information-gathering and information-sharing organization with the aim of raising the standard of Wing Chun and overall skill of practitioners as martial artists. For this reason, we do not withhold information from the student. We teach all the information, and then revisit it in greater depth as the student progresses.
